Music Lessons are available to all pupils from Year 2-6.
Please note that should you wish to discontinue music lessons, a term’s notice is required in all instances.

Music lessons at with Essex Music Services
We are offering individual music lessons in partnership with Essex Music Service. Music lessons will take place during the school day provided by specialist music tutors. Existing students do not need to re-register for lessons.
How do I apply for lessons?
- To add your child to the waiting list, please register by 7 July 2025.
- When a lesson slot becomes available, Essex Music Service will send an invoice to you.
- Payment is required before lessons can begin.

How much do lessons cost?
- There will be 30 lessons throughout the academic year i.e. 10 lessons a term.
- 10 x 15-minute lessons per term = £97.50 per term
- 10 x 30-minute lessons per term = £195 per term
Can I get financial help in paying for lessons?
- Families with a household income under £24,000 can apply for a 50% discount.
- Looked after Children, Adopted Children and those who have had contact with Social Care can receive 10 x free 15 minute lessons per term.

Does my child need an instrument?
- Yes, your child will need to take an instrument to individual lessons unless they are having piano or drum lessons.
- If you do not own an instrument, Essex Music Service provide low-cost hire for all Essex children.
