Excellent SIAMS Inspection

We are absolutely delighted to share the outcome of our recent SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools). The school has received the highest grading of ‘Excellent’ and the two additional judgements, collective worship and the effectiveness of RE, were also graded ‘Excellent’. This is the highest outcome possible under the new inspection framework and replaces the ‘Outstanding’ grade of the previous one. The full report can be viewed on the RE and worship section of our website.

This is a fantastic achievement for our whole school community and fully recognises the continuing commitment and hard work of everyone involved. The inspector was extremely positive about the pupils, staff, governors, school ethos and whole school community.

Together in Sound Project

Today, Class 5 enjoyed a trip to Saffron Hall where they performed two songs as part of the Dementia Together in Sound Project. In addition to their singing contributions, the children were also involved in improvisation activities with musicians and members of the wider community who are coping with dementia as part of their daily lives. At the end of the musical activities, the children shared lunch with the guests. The feedback from this event has been overwhelmingly positive with Class 5 pupils touching the hearts of many with their compassion, care and lovely manners. The compliments we have received regarding Year 5’s contributions, behaviour and care towards adults suffering from dementia at Saffron Hall today has been overwhelming. They proved to be outstanding ambassadors for both the school and their families and we are very proud of them!
